Dear colleagues and friends,
It is my great pleasure to announce the upcoming 36th Meeting of the International Society for Minimal Intervention in Spinal Surgery which will be held in Zweibrücken, Germany, in September 2018.
I am much honored that me and my department have been chosen to host this prestigious meeting. Following the footsteps of the very successful events in the past, it will not be an easy task. We know we have to meet high expectations.
But I am strongly convinced we will master the challenge. Our amazing local team, the close collaboration with the International Society for Minimal Intervention in Spinal Surgery and the North American Spine Society, as well as the support by all friends will be the key to success.
From September 6-8, 2018, we will provide comprehensive lectures given by international experts, intensive discussions between participants and faculty members, and a special cadaver pre-workshop for trying latest technologies in minimal invasive spine surgery.
We are looking forward to welcome neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, spine surgeons and researchers from all over the world.
Homburg and Zweibrücken are waiting for you!
Joachim Oertel, M.D., Ph.D.
